The Ontario Tech Accounting Association (OTAA) is a student run organization which strives to provide Ontario Tech students many opportunities to become successful! As an association under the Business and IT Society (BITSoc) we are dedicated to serving our accounting students and assist them into entering the accounting profession. As we host professional building workshops, networking sessions, and an annual case competition; we ensure that our members obtain the most benefit from their university experience.

The Key to Mastering Networking Event was a highly successful and engaging workshop that provided valuable insights into enhancing LinkedIn profiles. Hosted by OTAA in collaboration with OTMA and CPA OTU, the event offered attendees a hands-on experience designed to elevate their networking skills. Participants engaged in interactive sessions led by experts, learning how to optimize their LinkedIn presence for professional growth.

OTAA x Grant Thornton Game Night

The Grant Thornton Game Night was a highlight event, blending fun with professional networking. Students engaged with Grant Thornton representatives and peers in a lively, informal setting. Teams competed in various thrilling games for a chance to win fantastic prizes. It was a unique opportunity to showcase skills, build connections, and enjoy a memorable evening with industry professionals.

Masquerade Gala

The OTAA Masquerade Gala is a premier annual event for accounting students, offering an evening of sophistication and networking. Attendees are invited to dress in black-tie formal attire and wear masquerade masks. The event provides an excellent opportunity to connect with representatives from over 10 leading firms in the industry, making it a perfect occasion for building professional relationships and exploring career opportunities.
